BIOGRAPHY

Tokyo-based photographer Kentaro Watanabe has been documenting the ever-changing streets of Tokyo for over a decade, with a career as a Street Photographer and black and white portrait photographer, and has published work on Lens Culture and Instagram.

He sticks to black-and-white photographs because color photographs are an extension of reality, while photographs seen in black-and-white excite him because they appear to be in a different space from what he knows.

Encountering many moments when he can see a world he has never known before is the value he seeks in photography.
